Voting, Associate, and Advocate Membership each carry different rights, dues expectations, and levels of formal participation.

Membership is about belonging, governance, dues, eligibility, and rights inside People Pfirst.

[Voting Members](https://peoplepfirst.org/join/) and [Associate Members](https://peoplepfirst.org/join/) pay dues. [Voting Members](https://peoplepfirst.org/join/) who are in good standing can vote on organizational decisions. [Advocate Members](https://peoplepfirst.org/join/#advocate-member) can stay connected and participate without dues or voting rights.

## Voting Member

Dues-paying, Pflugerville area. This is the full membership, which includes voting on endorsements, major org decisions, and board elections. Dues are $30/year, and you're eligible to serve on the board.

Requires residency within the Pflugerville area, defined as the Pflugerville Super Precinct (Travis County Democratic Party) or Pflugerville ISD boundaries. Good standing requires current $30/year dues.

### How much are dues?

### How do I know if I'm in the Pflugerville area?

The Pflugerville area is defined as the Pflugerville Super Precinct (Travis County Democratic Party) and the Pflugerville Independent School District boundaries. If you live in or around Pflugerville, you almost certainly qualify. When in doubt, apply as a [Voting Member](https://peoplepfirst.org/join/), and we'll confirm.

### Can I upgrade from Advocate to Voting Member?

Yes. [Advocate Members](https://peoplepfirst.org/join/#advocate-member) who live within the Pflugerville area can upgrade to [Voting Member](https://peoplepfirst.org/join/) by paying dues. Use the membership form to make the switch.

### What does "good standing" mean?

For [Voting and Associate Members](https://peoplepfirst.org/join/), good standing means your dues are current. For [Advocate Members](https://peoplepfirst.org/join/#advocate-member), good standing means you've verified your membership status within the last twelve months. The board sets the process for annual verification.

### Is my membership tax-deductible?

No. People Pfirst is a political action committee (PAC). Contributions and dues are not tax-deductible.
